SCARD CPD Program Update – First 2026 Collection Period
Reporting for the first 2026 CPD collection period is complete, and we are compiling the results and generating participant certificates.
If you are participating in the SCARD CPD Program, please ensure all eligible cases have been completed, histology has been entered, and your records have been submitted to SCARD so they can be included in this reporting period.
The SCARD Surgical Audit has been recognised by multiple colleges and CPD bodies as a self-auditing and quality improvement activity, enabling practitioners to meet their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) obligations through real-world clinical practice.
We know many of you have been waiting for your certificates. This process has taken a little longer than anticipated, and we sincerely appreciate your patience. Certificates will begin being issued next week, with all certificates expected to be available through the SCARD Portal over the following two weeks as processing is completed.
CPD Recognition
Upon successful completion of the SCARD CPD Program, participants may claim the following annual allocations (as approved by ACRRM):
- 10 hours of Educational Activities
- 15 hours of Reviewing Performance
- 15 hours of Measuring Outcomes
per calendar year (from the date of enrolment) across the 2026-2028 triennium, provided the program requirements are met. This structure aligns with CPD reporting periods while accommodating the practical use of the SCARD Surgical Audit in clinical practice.
Importantly, there are no CPD participation or reporting fees associated with the SCARD Surgical Audit CPD Program. Practitioners are not charged additional fees to enrol in the CPD program, generate audit reports, or have their completion status recorded by SCARD. This approach ensures that access to meaningful, audit-based CPD remains equitable and focused on improving patient care rather than administrative costs.
No Enrolment Required
All SCARD users are automatically eligible to receive CPD recognition. Once your activity has been processed, you will receive a certificate outlining your ACRRM-approved hours, which you can use for self-reporting to your relevant CPD home or college (where applicable, such as CPD Australia).
SCCA SkinPro Participants
If you are participating in the SCCA SkinPro CPD Program, please ensure you have also enrolled in the SCARD CPD Profile. This allows your activity to be included in the reports SCARD submits to the SCCA.
